To disassemble a Glock pistol, you must take off the safety and then remove the slide and barrel. First, you have to point the gun in a safe direction and release the magazine. Open and close the slide to check the chamber for any remaining ammunition. Next, you must close the slide and fire once in the safe direction to release the firing pin. Then, open the page slightly and pull down on both sides of the slide lock. Once locked, you can push the slide forward to disengage the gun. You will also need to push the front spring out of the gun and out of the barrel. Once these parts are removed from the gun, you can clean your Glock before reassembling it. Remember to wear safety glasses while handling the gun in case of an accident. Keep reading for instructions on how to turn the slide back on when reassembling your gun.
The various models based on or simply copied from the Glock design is one of many indicators that the gun represents the cornerstone of the new generation of handguns. The Austrian pistol set the standard for the modern pistol. Glock is easy to use, reliable, has high firepower and above all, it is affordable. These were the standards other manufacturers were required to achieve, therefore, they produced similar handguns without the hammer and polymeric bodies with a striker system based on the spring firing pin.

Because there is no manual safety and because it is free, the trigger load pull remains the same from the first round to the last and it works very well without difficult maintenance, thanks to the little insert that helps the bike. All of this makes the Glock one of the most reliable handguns you can use for personal defense.
No matter what they say, we think the Glock is one of the safest guns around – whether in the hands of a professional or a novice. The only important rules you need to know are the following: assume your gun is always loaded, so don't touch the trigger unless you really want to shoot; Keep the gun on safe points and consider the consistency of your target before shooting.
In our opinion, the Glock has two sides. The first one is easy to fix: The rear sight seems out of place, affects zero. If you don't like to compromise, only a little glue is needed or all the target devices can be replaced with various alternatives available in the market. The other problem is the need for a dry fire every time you want to split the wood.
Dry or test shooting, when done outside the shooting range, is the main cause of domestic accidents that occur when the gun is not used properly. This is proven in a variety of firearms with the recently used striker-fired, with mechanical devices that shut off the firing system without having to press the trigger.

On the outside of the disc, you can see the back of the striker and the pins that hold the extractor
Glock guns can be upgraded in a number of ways to suit any shooter's needs. There are companies that make trigger systems or separate parts that allow you to change trigger pull weight or trigger travel. In addition, you can find a magazine release button and a large opening lever. All of these upgrades should be carefully considered if you use the gun for personal defense.
Various aiming devices and aiming systems abound in the "after market". However, there are some accessories that add extra hand protection to the gun, which are not absolutely necessary.
For DIY or occasional safe cleaning, you need to know how to take apart a Glock which, like any mechanical device, has parts that can be easily broken. Nothing lasts forever.

Remember to start disassembling the gun when you are absolutely sure the gun is unloaded, remove the magazine and turn the slide to see if the chamber is empty as well. You should do this with your mouth pointed at a safe spot and make sure you don't put your finger on the trigger.
Then, in order to bring the system back to rest and allow the gun to be disassembled, as we said, while cycling, you need to make a dry fire, taking into account the direction of the muzzle .
You should be holding the gun with your strong hand, with your thumb on the hilt and your palm facing back. Then, pull the slide back a few meters. At the same time, the index finger and thumb of your non-dominant hand should be pressing down on the slide lock on either side of the body.
The wire can now be pushed forward and separated from the frame. We also remove the slide lock from the recess.

Then, take the spring guide puller and pull the barrel out of place. The gun has now been removed.
With the right tool (a small diameter punch, known around the world as a "Glock disassembly tool"), you can advance the striker and thus free the plate on the rear cover of the slide Which goes up to the guide and protects. Pin, shoot and produce put them in their place.
When you get these two things out, you can move and pull out the extractor and the small automatic pin safety and the small spring.
The firing pin works because a spring is attached to two cups and a plastic tube that can be easily separated.

To remove the physical parts, you need to remove the pins that you can see on the sides. You must use the Right Turn Punch - see above.
Once you have the pin out, you can remove the stop lever. This section is sometimes replaced by larger models.
After removing the cross pins, pull out the slide stop lever and then the subframe trigger. The trigger system package can be taken apart into its smaller components, making it easy to replace if they break or if you want to change trigger pull weight or trigger travel.
You can separate the barrel lock block. You can remove this element by pressing the bottom right lever.
How To Clean A Glock 19
Learning how to take a gun apart can help you better understand how the gun works and solve puzzles you may have with hammerless guns that don't have any type of manual safety.
In fact, the Glock includes an important safety: the automatic safety that prevents the gun from firing if you don't voluntarily pull the trigger or if it happens to fall on a hard spot.
The small spring must be changed from time to time. Usually you replace the connector first to reduce the load on the actuator
When it comes to easy-to-break parts, we only have words to praise this gun. But we still feel the need to stress that thermostatic machines can always break after every period of use. Our personal experience, which we share with you, is that after 10.000 cycles, the small trigger spring at the back of the trigger pack broke. Another recent purchase proved it
